About

The Peoples Archive is first and foremost a book club: a space for friends to indulge in literature, media, and the sharing of skills. We see media as a powerful tool, one that has long been used to move people, shape consciousness, and mobilize change. At the same time, we recognize that the current evolution of media and digital organizing is deeply flawed, and we approach it with a critical lens. That awareness calls us back to analog forms of connection, or at least to more intentional and minimal uses of digital media.

We are interested not only in reading, but in building a living archive of thought, conversation, and creative practice. We study the history of global movements because history repeats itself, and because we believe the past and the future both shape the present. Through discussion, reflection, and shared experimentation, we hope to deepen our understanding of the world and our responsibility to one another. The Peoples Archive is a place to study seriously, imagine collectively, and nurture the kinds of relationships and skills that make other futures possible.
